Jazz up your YouTube videos with EmbedPlus

I came across a bit of tech I thought I'd share. Have you ever wanted to have more control over the playback of a YouTube video? With EmbedPlus, you can add a second skin to a video, and easily create DVD-like controls without a fancy video editing program.

EmbedPlus allows you to add:
  • Scene-skipping controls
  • A movable zoom function
  • A slow-motion on-demand feature
  • Annotations
  • A display of real-time reactions from YouTube or Twitter
  • Instant replay
It's all for free, and without registration.

Get started with the site's easy-to use Wizard.

STEP 1: Just add the link of the YouTube video you want to enhance.

STEP 2. You can choose to change the start time (handy if there's an ad). You can also add scene markers to allow users to skip to different scenes.

STEP 3. If you select "Show Real-time Reactions,"  viewers will be able to see comments on YouTube or Twitter. You can also add annotations at select time intervals.

STEP 4. Copy the embed code and/or the link.

Here's what the enhanced version of one of my favorite video's looks like:

Here's the link.

Bottom line: EmbedPlus is quick and easy and a great way to add control and additional content to YouTube videos.
